Event Preview: NEOCON, A Digital HR Summit 2021

Our partner, NEOGOV, is hosting a one-day virtual HR summit, NEOCON. Starting at 9 AM PST, on May 27th, this one-day event is packed with professional development opportunities. Plus, we’ll be there! From networking experiences to virtual contests, we thought we’d break down some of the top things to look forward to at this exclusive event. 

NEOCON Keynote Speaker: Brittany N. Cole

9:15-9:45 AM, PST

Kicking off this virtual, one-day event is Career and Leadership Coach and Best-Selling Author of Thrive Through It, Brittany N. Cole. As a TEDx Speaker, Brittany will be hosting a candid conversation on unlearning and relearning how we lead with empathy and real resilience in the workplace — a keynote conversation we are so looking forward to!

Breakout Sessions #1

9:50-10:20 AM, PST

Shortly after the keynote, NEOCON will offer its first of three breakout sessions, including:

• New Hiring Trends Research: Data Insights on the State of 2021 Recruiting
• Preparing Today's Workforce for Tomorrow: 7 Tips for Elevating Your Development Approach
• Modernize Your Recruitment and Onboarding Experience to Attract Top Talent

While you don’t have to pre-register to attend these breakout sessions, keep in mind that not all sessions will be recorded — in other words, choose wisely or divide the sessions up among your colleagues!

Networking & Expo Hall

10:25-10:45 AM, PST

This is the part of the conference where you come visit us, Verified First! We’ll be at our virtual booth in the expo hall, so once you’re done networking and meeting other HR professionals, come stop by our booth. We’d love to chat and tell you a little more about what we have to offer, including our one-click, screening integration!

And hey! If you don’t make it to the first networking and expo hall time slot, there’s another one later in the day, 11:50 AM-12:10 PM.

The second and third series of breakout sessions are back-to-back. In other words, you’ll want to refill your coffee, grab your lunch, or do whatever you need to before the second round of sessions start.

Starting at 10:45-11:15 AM PST, NEOCON will host its second round of breakout sessions with some very transformative topics, including:

Bonus note: You can earn SHRM and HRCI credit by attending the Talk Data to Me: Becoming a Data-Driven HR Leader breakout session. This session goes from 10:45 AM to 11:50 AM PST.

To start wrapping up NEOCON 2021, there will be 3 additional breakout sessions centered on two words you wouldn’t expect in the same sentence — creativity and compliance. These breakout sessions include:

Yup. You read that right! At the end of NEOCON, attendees can hang around to compete in a virtual game of Bingo. And if bingo doesn’t interest you enough, there will be prizes! If you ask us, this is the best way to end a one-day conference.
